Martin Raphael was born in England. His extensive music ability includes composing and a wide repertoire of musical instruments. A sense of theatre and a love of lyric writing emerged as he formed his first group 'Sticky George' at the age of seventeen. He graduated in Fine Arts from the same acclaimed art college as John Lennon and later received a two year commission sponsored by the Gulbenkian Foundation as Composer-in Residence incorporating the prestigious Dartington School in Devon
A chance position in London with the wildly theatrical Lindsay Kemp Company as musician segued into developing acting and mime skills. He and featured Kemp artiste, Australian Michael Matou, created their own style of original theatre performances and this Sideshow partnership headed a company of extraordinary artists that performed across the world, including the Edinburgh Festival
He has created music/sound scores for productions in various mediums including theatre, film, television, documentary, dance and cabaret
